Job Vacancies at TMDA Tanzania November 2025
The Ministry of Health (MOH) oversees the Tanzania Medicines and Medical Devices Authority (TMDA), an Executive Agency. After the Tanzania Food, Drugs and Cosmetics Act, Cap 219 was passed by the Parliament, TMDA, formerly known as the Tanzania Food and Drugs Authority (TFDA), was founded in 2003. After the Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS) took over responsibility for regulating food and cosmetics, this Act was later revised in 2019 to become the Tanzania Medicines and Medical Devices Act, Cap 219. The name was changed to TMDA as a result of the Finance Act, No. 8 of 2019, which altered the legislative framework.
